Just a few things before we begin:
1. This challenge is just for fun, so don't stress yourself out.
2. Modify the challenge so that it fits you and your needs for your album. I don't want you to look back and be unhappy with your layout because you were trying to
meet some set of rules.
3. Have fun and be open about yourself. Heck, I'd like for you to post your layouts each week (or even to the thread if you finish late), but you can put this book away to be private until you're ready to share it with your family, etc one day.
4. I want my album to be REAL and to not always be sugar-coated or to make my life seem like it's always rosey. I tend to mostly scrap about the happy things and leave out the rest.
5. ALBUM SIZE: Do it ANY size you want. I'm going to do an American Crafts 12x12 d-ring (3 ring binder type)that I got at a discount store. This way, I can move my layouts around, do some pages 8x8, 8 1/2 x11, or whatever size I'm feeling. This will allow me to do some page protectors of different sizes to go back and add memorabilia or report cards or whatever from my younger years (and maybe the album won't seem too bulky).
6. I'm ATTEMPTING to do a similar layout of my DH each time. I'm going to ask him about journaling, but I may have to do most/all of it. We'll see how that goes. I just want my children to have a similar album of him as well.
7. I don't mind if you incorporate this into any other challenges here or on any other challenge site.
8. Use your good supplies on this one. I'll say it again.....when we are gone from this world, all that will be left of us are our families and our albums. If we only use our "so so scrappy stuff", our good stuff will be sold or given away, and
our families will have an album that we thought was "so so". (I'm working hard on doing this!)
9. Feel free to scraplift or use the same title/idea as the examples. Seriously...NO STRESS!
